Hofrichter Family Session in the Sandias

Oh this sweet family. Sarah got my name from a mutual friend and I was so flippin excited to hear from her. From the beginning she was super nice and easy to work with. We set up a date and a location super fast, and I knew we were going to get along when she wanted to go up the back side of the Sandias for her session. If you know me at all, you’ll know I love green and mountains so obviously I was loving her ideas. Sarah also mentioned that she had been having some health problems and wanted to get pictures done now before things got worse. I felt so honored that they trusted me to take these special pictures for them.

Sarah’s family was so fun to take pictures of because they literally acting like I wasn’t there. Not in a mean way, don’t worry! Ha ha. They were just really natural in front of the camera and weren’t afraid to just be themselves. Add in that both of their kiddos has the biggest, brightest, blue eyes and the longest eyelashes possible. Yeah, I was definitely in family photography heaven.

For the first part of the session, baby brother was sleeping so I took that time to do some photos of big sis with mom and dad. It was so cute to see her interact with them. I had learned that she loves to climb on things, so I had her climb a fence with dad and she happily would’ve stayed all day.

They also brought their dog along, which was a first for me! But it was fun getting pictures of them interacting with their dog. I feel so privileged to have met this sweet family and to have spent an evening with them. Here are some photos from their session!
