Small Moments, Magnified.

Life is BUSY. Especially when you have a young family. (Or a family with teenagers, or a family with grown kids and grandkids.) And if you’re like me, you get caught up in the daily to-dos, making sure every kid is where they need to be on every night of the week, laundry, cooking, homework, and on and on and on. **One day you wake up and you realize you’re missing it**. All of the little things that are so important. Because those big moments like birthdays and vacations? They don’t come around very often. **But those little moments** like your toddler reaching for your hand, your oldest son smiling and waving as he goes off to practice, all those times you can’t think to yourself because your kids just HAVE to share every moment with you? **They happen all the time.** And if we don’t stop and notice them, we lose the whole reason why we’re doing this thing called life.

It’s time for the next chapter of our lives in the Vancouver, WA & Portland area

We have had sooo many feelings about this big change in our lives, but so far one thing’s for sure: We LOVE to explore the Pacific Northwest area of the U.S.

I have wanted to take a trip out to explore the Oregon coast for YEARS, so I am beyond stoked that it’s literally a couple of hours away from me now. We’ve already visited iconic Canon Beach, and definitely plan to go back. And it’s not just the coast we’ve enjoyed exploring-the Columbia River Gorge is absolutely gorgeous, there are sooo many waterfall hikes in the area to discover (we’ve done Bridal Veil Falls, Latourell, and Wahkeena Falls), and there are some GORGEOUS national parks in the area (just look up pictures of Olympic National Park).

And taking photos of gorgeous families in these gorgeous places? That’s what I live for! And really? I don’t want to just take pretty pictures-I want to capture LIFE. There is more to a great photo than the right setting, the right clothes, and happy faces. I truly believe that everyone is photogenic. The secret is when people feel comfortable in front of the camera just being themselves, interacting in their unique ways with their family. Then beautiful and unique portraits are made. Then YOU are captured.

I cannot wait to capture those moments for you!
