My Top 5 Photo Locations I'm Excited for in Vancouver, WA

One of the things I’m most excited about when we move is to just explore the area and find alll my favorite spots to enjoy with my family AND my clients. If you’ve been around for awhile you know that I’m a green girl through and through-so many of my fave locations I’ve used over and over again have been because they’re green which is hard to find here in NM. It will be very different living in Washington where I KNOW I will not even have to look for the green. Will I get sick of it? Eh, I don’t think so, but I’ll keep you posted, ha! So without further ado, here are the locations around the Vancouver area that I’m most excited to shoot at!

  1. Vancouver Lake

This looks to be a great spot that combines a lot of different terrains. You’ve got open fields of green grass with lots of trees combined with a lake and a beachy area. With all those trees I’m betting this would be an absolutely GORGEOUS place for fall photos as well.

2. Heritage Park in Camas

Holy gorgeous forested area! It looks to have a great variety between more closely forested areas with lots of trees, and more open areas with trees in the background. There are a ton of trails here, and I can’t wait to explore them all and find my favorite spots!

3. Burnt bridge Creek Trail

Another lovely forested area with at least one bridge. The trail seems to be quite long so I’m sure I’ll find more hidden gems when I can explore it in person.

4. Groth nature preserve in Brush Prairie

As I was doing research I came across this picture and I literally gasped out loud. Any open field with trees in the back just calls to me, and then add in the white flowers? Gorgeous! I’m going to have to keep an eye out for when these cute little blossoms bloom.

5. Wildlife Botanical Gardens

A beautiful place with lots of blooming flowers and no extra fee to shoot there? Sign me up! You better bet I’m going to be walking these trails with my kids to see all these gardens have to offer.

And there you have it! I cannot wait to explore and find even more spots for family sessions. Until I get there, dreaming of these locations will have to do for now.
