F & C Baptism

We lived in Salt Lake for six months before Weston got admitted to PA school here in good ol’ Albuquerque. While we were in Salt Lake, we were friends with this awesome family that had us over every Sunday we weren’t spending with family. We had so much fun with them and their kids, so we’ve been glad they live fairly close to family so that we can still see them occasionally.

My friend had told me about F&C’s baptism, and we were planning on coming. But things changed and it looked like we weren’t able to come. But while we were in Utah unexpectedly for a funeral, we found out that their baptism had magically been changed for that same weekend we were there. Yes! So thankfully, we were able to make it and I was able to take pictures of these cute girls on their big day.

These girls are SO much fun and have SO much energy. They’re also fearless. They are not scared to climb and swing from anything. I also think my oldest may have a little crush on them, so it’s super fun to tease him about that.

For these pictures, we kept it pretty simple. I took pictures of them in their backyard before the baptism, and then got a couple pictures on the church lawn in their dresses after the baptism. Their mom did an AMAZING job with their baptism outfits! All the little details were the best. I loved the little pearls in their hair, their cute lace tights, and their awesome shoes.

Also, in case you’re wondering about baptism in my church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints), it’s customary to get baptized when we turn eight.
